Dr Oetker, traditionally established with consumers as a supplier of innovative baking products with genuine functional added value, had the goal of strategically supplementing its cake glaze range with an alternative packaging system. Previously only represented in the market with stand-up pouches, the aim was to develop a range in cups and thus to meet the competition even more consistently. The clear goal of our structural design development: naturally an innovative cup with functional added value.
Along the various creative and exploration sessions, a true “Swiss Army Knife” was created among the cups: The structural design and the appearance of a sauce spoon support the handling in a sensible and purposeful way. For this purpose, the cup has – in addition to practical decorative nozzles for left and right-handed use – a handy handle. It can even be hooked into the water bath and safely removed from the hot water.
With the innovative cup for cake glaze we have generated a new product packaging with a real USP for Dr. Oetker through our structural design development. An absolute novelty – not only on the shelf of cake ingredients and decoration.
