Our 2022 awards: Red Dot Design Award and German Packaging Award

2022 was another extremely successful year for our agency, with many exciting client projects that challenged us, inspired us to come up with new ideas, broadened our horizons and always inspired us. The fact that our work was recognized once – or rather twice – more confirms and encourages us to maintain or even further expand our passionate approach as well as our willingness to always think outside the box in the future.

But now to the facts: We received the coveted Red Dot Award for the 3Foodies Bolognese and the prestigious German Packaging Award for the BäckerBox.

Red Dot Design Award

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest and most important design competitions in the world. Every year, participants submit their most innovative developments from the last twelve months in three disciplines – specifically Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. The Red Dot Award is internationally recognized as a sign of very good design quality. We feel all the more honored to have been recognized again in 2022. In the Brands & Communication Design category, the packaging we designed for 3Foodies Bolognese was among the best works in the Packaging Design category. That makes us mighty proud.

German Packaging Award

The German Packaging Award is an international, cross-industry and cross-material performance competition that aims to award and promote forward-looking solutions and developments for packaging. Each year, an independent jury selects the best and most innovative packaging in ten different categories:

– Design & Finishing
– Functionality & Convenience
– Presentation of goods
– Efficiency
– sustainability
– Logistics & material flow
– New Material
– Digitalization
– Packaging Machinery
– Special award for young talents

The BäckerBox, which we developed, received the German Packaging Award in the category of product presentation. Here is the jury’s evaluation:

“The BäckerBox is a very nice gift box for baked goods, which can be designed according to the occasion. Fanning out the lid reveals a customizable lid motif, which gives consumers an even more attractive unboxing experience. Stackability allows a variety of treats to be placed. Closed with a gift ribbon, the result is a very appealing tower that unfolds when opened, revealing its surprises floor by floor.”
